This pendant is a hypotrochoid pattern made from rotating Phi spirals. It represents a top down view of the centrifugal divergence of a magnetic field torus.
I handcut the design out of sterling silver and riveted it to a backing plate of oxidised solid sterling silver using handmade sterling silver rivets. In the center of the grid I set a rosecut citrine, surrounded by a 9ct gold flower. I cut all of my designs by hand using a tiny sawblade (no casting or lasercutting!)
This pendant is 4.5cm in diameter and is hung on a 60cm sterling silver chain.
