This pendant is one of a series of unique collaborative works containing New Zealand Pounamu cabochons. The Pounamu cabochon was carved by New Zealand carver Miki McPherson.
The Metatron's Cube is a Sacred Geometric diagram consisting of 13 circles with lines radiating out from the centre of each circle to the centres of all the other circles.
It holds within it both the Flower of Life (a powerful symbol containing the patterns of creation) and the Platonic Solids (Star Tetrahedron, Hexagon, Octahedron, Dodecahedron, and Icosahedron). These Platonic Solids are the building blocks of the universe and represent the five elements from which everything is made: fire, water, earth, air and aether. Therefore the Metatron's Cube is a universal Symbol of the interconnected nature of all things.
I handcut this sterling silver Metatron's Cube design using a tiny sawblade, (no casting or laser cutting!), and set a beautiful Pounamu cabachon onto it using a lotus claw setting. I also set a rosecut green peridot cabochon in the centre of the Metatron's Cube.
This piece is 4cm in diameter, and is hung on a 45cm long sterling silver chain.
Your purchase will come carefully packaged in a gift box complete with wax seal.
