This pendant was created by ifnotforgravity in the JBJ studio.
The symbolism on the front face is of an Egyptian Djed Pillar releasing energy in the form of the koru (spirals) and crowned with a flame and eye to represent conscious awareness.
The symbolism on the reverse side is a variation on the Caduceus and the Tree of Knowledge with the serpents eating the apple, which also represents the birth of self awareness. It is flanked either side by an Egyptian Ankh and a skull, which represent the balance of Life and Death.
It is carved from wax and cast in solid sterling silver, and bound on a black cord.
This piece is 3.5cm in length, and 2.5cm in width.
It is double sided and can be worn either way round, depending on your mood.
