How it's Made


Every pieces is hand-cut, riveted and filed entirely by hand from start to finish by Jean Burgers in her studio in Emerald, Australia. She uses time-honoured silversmithing techniques to make sure each piece is crafted to the highest quality to last you a lifetime.

Are all pieces handmade?

Yes — every Jean Burgers piece is individually handcrafted in our Australian studio. Slight variations are part of what makes each item unique.

What materials do you use?

I primarily use solid sterling silver, 9ct and 18ct gold, and ethically sourced gemstones. All metals are hallmarked and responsibly sourced from trusted Australian suppliers.

What gauge of metal do you use?

I work with metal thicknesses ranging from 0.4mm to 1.5mm, depending on the complexity of the design.

Do you accept custom orders?

Absolutely! I love creating custom pieces. To start the process, please visit my contact page for more details. Custom orders typically take 1-3 weeks, depending on design complexity, materials, and urgency.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! I provide free shipping worldwide, so you can enjoy my jewelry wherever you are.

Yes, all jewellery comes packaged in a black gift box. We also offer the option of an upgraded wooden gift box.

Is your packaging sustainable?

Yes, all packaging is eco-conscious, and designed to protect your jewellery beautifully while minimising waste. Our wooden gift boxes are are made from timber sourced from sustainable forests and harvested to ensure the balance and bio diversity of the surrounding
area is maintained.

How should I care for my jewellery?

To keep your jewellery looking its best, avoid contact with personal care products, chlorine, saltwater, and excessive heat.

Precious metals may tarnish from skin contact or perspiration. To restore shine, use a high-quality silver polishing cloth. For those hard-to-reach areas, gently clean with a soft-bristled toothbrush and warm, soapy water.

When not in use, store your jewellery in a box or pouch to keep it safe.
