Our Story

The Hands Behind the Metal: Jean Burgers
20+ Years of Traditional Craftsmanship
Jean has been hand-crafting jewelry since 2002, when she completed her foundational training under master carver Chris Bone in Golden Bay, New Zealand.
Today, she brings these time-honored metalsmithing techniques to life inside her sunlit studio, nestled in the forest of Emerald, Victoria. Using a traditional jeweler's piercing saw, Jean meticulously hand-cuts every intricate layer, files, shapes, and polishes to create dimensional talismans that carry a deliberate story.
Every single piece of jewelry that leaves this studio begins as a blank sheet of metal and a hand-drawn sketch. There is no mass production here. No digital laser cutting. Just one artist, guided by the precision of sacred geometry and a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship.

Sustainability & Intention
Your jewelry should tread lightly on the earth. Jean’s work is deeply rooted in environmental stewardship and energetic integrity.
Recycled Precious Metals: Every piece is created from 100% certified recycled sterling silver and responsibly sourced Australian gold to minimize environmental impact.
Ethically Sourced Stones: Each gemstone is individually selected from verified ethical suppliers who respect both the earth and their workers.
Cold-Connection Joinery: By utilising traditional rivets instead of chemical glues, the structural architecture of the piece is strong, and built to last for generations.
Global Recognition, Personal Connection.
While Jean's creations are collected and displayed in fine art galleries across the globe, her online store allows you to connect directly with the artist. When you order a piece, it is polished, hand-packed, and shipped directly from her Emerald studio to your doorstep.
"I create for the healers, the seekers, and those who appreciate the power of handmade art. Thank you for supporting a 20+ year legacy of independent craftswomanship."
