This pendant is one of a series of unique works I created depicting the Vajra symbol. I handcut these three layers of oxidised copper using a tiny sawblade, (no casting or laser cutting!) and riveted the layers together with sterling silver rivets. The oxidised copper comes from an antique copper basin.
Vajra is a Sanskrit word meaning both thunderbolt and diamond. It is used symbolically by the dharma traditions of Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism, often to represent firmness of spirit and spiritual power.
This piece is 4cm in diameter, and comes on a 45cm sterling silver chain.
Your purchase will come packaged in a gift box complete with wax seal.
