This Sunbird Ring has been cast in solid sterling silver. I have oxidised it and sanded back the high points, to bring out the fine details. The Sunbird Skull is 2.8cm in length and sits nicely on the finger.
This piece is part of my Organic Forms series focused on casting natural forms in metal. This is a very high quality cast with incredibly fine detail. The sunbird has been hand polished to a shine on the raised surfaces, which contrast beautifully with the texture of the piece. The inside of the ring has been shaped to a comfort fit and polished to a shine.
