❖Scarab Amulet - Moldavite❖
Materials: handcut sterling silver, oxidised silver and Moldavite
Size: 4cm in height
Chain: 60cm sterling silver
Moldavite: These Moldavite cabochons are guaranteed to be natural, and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Moldavite is a rare Tektite/Impact-glass created by a meteor 15 million years ago, and is only found in the Czech Republic.
Design: Inspired by ancient Egyptian mythology, this Scarab pendant honors the scarab beetle as a symbol of creation and transformation. The scarab was closely linked to the sun-god Khepri, who was believed to roll the sun across the sky each day representing the eternal cycle of renewal.
Above its head it holds a Flower of Life design, containing a rosecut Moldavite cabochon in the center. The Flower of Life is one of the most ancient and powerful symbols in sacred geometry. Built from interlocking circles, it’s believed to hold the patterns of creation and the connections between all living things. A symbol of unity.
I handcrafted this piece by cutting eight layers of the design out of sterling silver. Each layer was meticulously cut by hand using a fine jeweler’s saw, then joined together with sterling silver rivets. I added hand-engraved feather details on the wings to give the scarab a sense of movement and life.
